I am aware that I will need to replace the original Sony foot because it won't work with arca-style plates. So I wanted to replace it with the Really Right Stuff LCF-102 Lens Foot. But will I be able to use the Really Right Stuff LCF-102 Lens Foot with the MVH500 Fluid Head or will I need another adapter and to constantly switch depending if I want to use the Arcatech Ballhead or the Fluid Head? Also can I simply mount the Peakdesign Sling to the LCF-102 and still can use the Ballhead / Fluid Head? But some folks said theirs worked fine. Anyway, I am not a fan of using the screw to attach the foot to the lens. I like the knob mechanism Song uses, which RRS is using, I believe the Kirk foot will use the knob mechanism too.

As between the RRS foot for the 200-600, aside from the price difference, the RRS foot weighs 3.2 oz. while the Wimberley weighs 3.8 oz. The Wimberley is also a bit longer at 5.4" vs. 5.0". I think I will go with the lighter RRS foot, just because hand holding this lens is already a bit of a challenge, and every little bit of weight adds to the challenge, even a fraction of an ounce.
