About this deal

Let us know in the comments of our Facebook Hobby Group, or our new Discord server, and make sure you enter the latest monthly giveaway for FREE today! The Knight Desecrator is a truly imposing kit in every sense of the word – it towers over most other models on the tabletop and a choice of vicious faceplates and optional chains, pipes, spikes and horns allow you to customise your Knight, making it as malicious as you want. They can also be armed with a choice of either reaper chainsword or thunderstrike gauntlet with which to crush any foe that survives a barrage from its laser destructor. Chaos Knights are drawn from traitorous Dread Households, each with a unique war culture and army-wide rules, relics, and tactics. In Warhammer 10th edition these don’t currently have any rules. Compounding this is the limited access Chaos has to “relevant” small Battalions. In Imperium, a Loyal 32 (2 Company Commanders, 3 Infantry squads) and a Graia Rusty 17 (Two Tech-priest Enginseers and 15 Skitarii) make a perfect complement to filling out the rest of your army with Knights – both Battalions add something to your list (highly mobile troops from the Guard, anti-psychic + Knight repair from Graia) and come in at a bargain price (345pts total for the combined barest bones versions). Chaos has cheap Battalions, but they aren’t nearly as helpful. You can certainly do a very cheap Daemon Battalion, but it doesn’t add that much to the Knights. The Spiky 17 (Red Corsairs Battalion) adding 8 CP is great, but it’s 315 points at its very cheapest (more if you want some actual relevant units), and 15 1-wound models with boltguns don’t do a lot for you strategically. Bring horror to your enemies as the ground shakes with every step the Knight takes, a warning of the doom that awaits. No living thing will be spared and no victim is considered too mighty to escape their horrendous fate. However, for this murderous butcher defeating the foe is simply not enough. He must defeat every single opposing war engine by blasting and crushing all their mechanical targets until nothing but just scrap remains. Knight Desecrator Components

Warp-Haunted Hull – The Warlord can deny one power per psychic phase, and if it takes mortal wounds from a psychic power, roll a D6 for each wound; on a 5+ it doesn’t lose a wound. A Chaos Knight army is one of the most difficult, yet rewarding challenges you’ll ever find painting miniatures, and nothing else in the game plays like it. We have guides to other Warhammer 40k factionsand we recommend you peruse those if you’re totally new to the hobby… but then again, arrogance and hubrisare perfect attitudes for a would-be Chaos Knight commander… What if we really, really wanted to go mono-codex though? Well, happily the Moirax gives us a slot filler at a sufficiently bargain price that we can pull together something that just about looks interesting TheChirurgeon: It seems like they’re valuing the Imperial Knights’ re-rolls ability at around 5-10 points per model, which seems low to me. I’d have rather seen a fix to Towering than these point hikes for non-FW stuff but it’s ultimately whatever since Chaos Knights will just run a bunch of War Dogs. The Desecrator might still be playable. Knight Desecrator [22 PL, -3CP, 430pts]: 5. Infernal Quest, Arch-Tyrant, Bow to None (Herpetrax), Character (Traitoris Lance), House Herpetrax, Reaper chainsword, Stratagem: Relic, Stratagem: Warlord Trait, Undivided – Blessing of the Dark Master, Veil of Medrengard, WarlordThe Knight Desecrator is a type of Questoris Pattern Chaos Knight, that is a powerhouse at mid- to close-range combat. [1a]

This dog won’t hunt sadly. The Diamonas pattern can do some work in specific matchups, but it is outshined by other options. Thanks as always for reading, and you know, that almost wraps up the codex, and we can start looking ahead to the Forgeworld goodness out there. Remember: the SoCal Open is coming up fast, so be painting, be practicing, and be ready. War Dog Stalker: Daemonbreath spear, Diabolus heavy stubber, Reaper chaintalon, Tzeentch – Pyrothrone, Winds of the Warp

OPTION 1: The Smasher

Tzeentchian Pyrothrone: Your Knight is a psyker that can Smite and Deny. Generally if your opponent has good psykers you want this out somewhere. You also always explode if you die from a perils, which is hilarious, especially as it doesn’t say the standard MWs from a perils explosion don’t go off too. Defiant Machine Spirit – Subtract 1 from this unit’s to Hit, Charge, and Advance rolls. Not as bad as Warp-Rage, but pretty bad for you. We expect something like the Dread Households to re-emerge as new Chaos Knight Detachments when the 10th edition Warhammer 40k Codex for Chaos Knights releases. Chaos Knights and the Marks of Chaos

Chaos Knight Desecrators are fearsome engines of war. Armed with a powerful laser destructor capable of punching through the heaviest armour and either a massive reaper chainsword or a baleful thunderstrike gauntlet, they stride the battlefield like howling gods of war, shrugging off shots that would cripple a lesser machine. The War Dogs aren’t really much different posability wise then the existing Armigers kit, just the same left or right step, waggle of limbs and a twist of the head. What they do have though is bits, three distinct head options including one with different faces along with a ton of little pointy bits in different flavors and even a bird for the carapace means that you can do a ton of decently unique versions of the same model. Given how many you might consider bringing, that’s an incredibly good move, particularly when you glance over at the imperial side of things where you get faces and that’s it.The Imperial Knights codex will arrive separately before the Chaos Knights book. However, you can score the new models and the new Chaos Knights codex in the army box for a limited time! Chaos Knights Army Set Box Piloting mighty walking war engines, bearing terrible armaments from the time of man’s greatness, they were blazing torches in the dark. When the Emperor’s Great Crusade reunited mankind’s lost domains, the Knight worlds pledged their blades to his cause.

Knower of Profane Secrets – Add 1 to this model’s Ld characteristic. At the start of the first battle round, if any models with this Pact are on the battlefield, gain 1 CP. Another good “generic” choice, especially as the extra Ld makes it even less likely you fluff the Damnation roll. When you select a PSYKER unit to manifest psychic powers, you select one psychic power that unit knows and attempt to manifest it. With the exception of Smite, you cannot attempt to manifest the same psychic power more than once in the same battle round, even with different PSYKER units. The same PSYKER unit cannot attempt to manifest Smite more than once during the same battle round. Skyreaper Protocols: Covered earlier, gives a Helverin War Dog re-rolls against fliers. Very good if you have one in your list, but tragically worded so it doesn’t cross-apply to Moiraxes.Assemble the Knight Desecrator with this multi-part plastic kit. The Knight possess mid- to close-range armaments which lend themselves towards duelling the enemy war engines, monstrous beasts and even tearing down the enemies constructions. Armed with the laser destructor, he can give a considerable punch at range. Those Fallen Nobles who pilot Knights Desecrator are all cruel despots, well disposed to imposing their tyrannical will upon others. They often hold the metaphysical leashes of allied War Dogs. With their thralls' Helms Mechanicum slaved to their warped Thrones Mechanicum, the Fallen Nobles coordinate vicious flanking manoeuvres and volleys of enfilading fire from the War Dogs that drive their enemies from cover. Chaos Questoris Knight Styrix can receive the following Favour of the Dark Gods upgrades: • Blood Shield Moiraxes are easily the best War Dog, so if you want to build up Chaos Knight detachments in a serious way you should consider paying the resin tax.
